Async execution

• Nokia will finish the async on their local branch and will use it in the Nokia code base temporarily. We will work with the community and adapt the official version when it is ready.

• Nokia will work with the community to finalize the concept and work towards having a community porch version that is good for the requirements of everyone.

• If the community version takes a number of months to arrive, in order to make sure that the Nokia fork does not diverge from the official codebase, it would make life easier if we take the version.

• We really should consider turning PRs into CRDs altogether and use a controller in the proper K8S way.

• We have to work out the details of going async in a sound way.

R5 Release

• Bare metal support is finished apart from docs, thanks @Vishwanath Jayaraman for the hard work

• Porch v1.4.0 is the version of Porch for R5,

  • We need to document this change to revision numbering in the documentation (release notes)

  • We go from 4.0.0 to 1.4.0

  • This work is nearly ready, there are a few PRs open, people please review ASAP:
