Upgrade Task
Non backward-compatible change in code base
alignment with users of “update” is being checked
We’ll check back again next week
In the meantime, the failing end to end tests will be checked, it may not be anything to do with this PR
Free5GC
Work is in progress on this
Bare Metal Support
These PRs are outstanding and under review
There are questions regarding what support there should be in test-infra for CI jobs and what the content of those jobs should be, this question will be taken in SIG-Release
Please review https://github.com/nephio-project/catalog/pull/113 , especially experts on Porch and its concepts such as PackageVariant
The normal process is to first of all get the kpt pipeline working step by step directly with the kpt command and its packages
Then the pipeline can be automated in the Kptfile of the package
People are very welcome to work with @Vishwanath Jayaraman on this activity

@Liam Fallon will bring this issue to the TSC: “Get clarification from the TSC on what the retention policy for release is in Nephio”
Recommendation from SIG-Automation: N and N-1 (R4 and $3 at the moment)
Repo for test packages and the e2e test refactoring:
The current situation is not good, we are using many external repos in our tests outside of our control
use “catalog”, or use a new repo, use nephio-example-packages, or use use a directory in Porch
we should provide tooling to make debugging and tracing easier
