• Orgs already have existing tools to use, thus decoupling the secrets manager functionality from core Nephio APIs is necessary.

• Identity is a precursor for this work since secrets authz is completely dependent on it.

• IAM and secrets mgmt need to work together.

Identity & Access Mgmt updates

• User Identity vs Workload Identity might be two different action items?

• Manuela: Are there any other users that we might have to consider apart from the management console access users? Administrative users?

• Identifying the set of users/roles – as a prerequisite for requirements identification?

• Tom: Workload Identity might have to be part of the base Nephio functionality. User Identity might depend on existing enterprise systems.

• Byung: Reference implementation for user identity has to be chosen. 

• Byung: expect updates to the user story document.
