Goals

  • R2 release objective is to merge OSSF badge/scorecard and have a security policy in place on Github.

Notes

  • Ved: Mentioned that OSSF related PRs have been reviewed and rebased. Mostly good to merge.

  • Rahul: Security policy is also reviewed, LGTMed. 

  • Wim: Proposed that he will have a look and check if it can be merged.

  • Open discussion: What are the important work items to be considered for WGs?

  • Wim: Secrets Management tops in his point of view. He mentioned about getting the strategy right, sooner rather than later since it might be difficult to change later.

  • Anurag will keep an eye on how the secrets are used/configured when the env deployment is done.

  • Shiv: Presenting service mesh work item (high level view)

  • Wim: checked whether the mesh will operate at a given cluster or across clusters

  • Rahul: Identity provisioning strategy would be key prerequisite to service mesh work

  • It would be better to prepare the scope/use-cases for service-mesh and its impact on other SIGs/WGs before we undertake implementation.
