Agenda

Note

The project's Antitrust Policy, which you can find linked from the LF and project websites. The policy is important where multiple companies, including potential industry competitors, are participating in meetings. Please review and if you have any questions, please contact your company legal counsel. Members of the LF may contact Andrew Updegrove at the firm Gesmer Updegrove LLP, which provides legal counsel to the LF.

R4 Release status

Bala asked for information on the ONE Summit - Sunny will provide that. There is also the Cloud Native Telco Day on the following week, where an LFN booth will be present, and a number of Nephio related presentations

There is a Kubecon in Atlanta where we might plan to have a colocated event

R5 planning

Presented the planning page: R5 Planning

We want to get started as soon as possible after R4 is delivered on implementing R5

The change of the process towards working very closely between SIG Arch and SIG Auto to ensure we have continuity and communication.

We will continue to bring this up regularly at the TSC, as well as to LFN to look for further developer support as promised

Sync on the status when R4 is concluded to see where we are

GenAI hackathon

Those interested in participating can join the WG6 slack channel and the meetings at 9am PT. Volunteers are requested here also.

  • looking for potential user stories as a target for the hackathon

  • need to identify where we will publish it / target audience

  • date

  • judges - these will need to also be involved in the planning so they understand the user stories

  • support during the event - managing logistics

Support

  • reaching out to Casey directly to resolve issues is not the best way - there are formal support flows:

  • Slack Pro is not really an option for us currently considering pricing.

  • The Linux Foundation is currently evaluating Zulip (an open source Slack Alternative).

Network Architecture - see “release”

Automation - see “release”

Security

Focus on SPIFFE updates for R4

New images are being created on Nephio docker hub - there is a thought to take on regular scanning and providing a monthly security report

We have a FOSSology report where we may need to make an update to ensure we have proper license handling
