Action Items:

  • [All Presenters] extract your presentation from the main deck and upload to the main agenda page.

  • [LFN Support Team] - download recording(s) from Tues and Wed and upload to YouTube.

  • Cloud Giants panel session feedback “observability with a purpose”

  • [Arpit] LF to organize a virtual session inviting various enterprise verticals to discuss use cases (FinTech, banks, retail, other..)

  • [Sig1] Improve meetings reach. As user stories are proposed, engage in a matchmaking exercise to ensure there is diversity of experience within the team working on this. (new/mid/experienced)

  • [Jenn/Casey] Clarify, document, and communicate best practices for posting meeting availability

    • Utilize the wiki, Slack, and LFX meetings calendar

    • dependency: LFX meetings migration

  • [SIG1] Create and send high-level survey (based on the eval criteria created by Bala and discussed during the Core Evolution discussion) that can be sent to LFN members. (feedback from Ranny)

  • [Kandan/Sana/Arpit] Consider updating 2025 budget ask from LFN to include project contributor financial support.

  • [Jenn/Kandan/TSC] Finalize contributor awards for R2 and R3.

  • GenAI

    • Potential hackathon, local to the SF Bay Area with help to host by/with Google

      • 1st - set and schedule call

      • draft white paper, define use cases

      • initiate planning for hackathon

      • utilize GenAI for user documentation in addition to templates generation, templates hydration, and SDKs and APIs

    • LFN Data sharing platform is in process [Ranny] one in EU, one in APAC

    • Hackathon use cases should be promoted as being beyond telecom, in order to broaden the interest and participation. This also helps achieve the goal for Nephio to expand beyond telecom.

    • Josh @ Stanford can help as a co-organizer

  • [Kandan] Pitch deck - clean it up and re-release with R4.

  • [LF Marketing Staff] - social media follow up, promote UCBerkeley/Sara/Paraglider and Josh/Stanford to promote.

Aspirations

  • If we’re on a Google campus again in the future, we need to do a better job of communicating 1) where/how to obtain badge to access building.

  • Virtual attendance as an option reduces on-site participation dramatically. It should be reserved only in extreme cases to accommodate.

  • Obtaining gender parity on speaker panels continues to be a challenge.
