Agenda

The project's Antitrust Policy, which you can find linked from the LF and project websites. The policy is important where multiple companies, including potential industry competitors, are participating in meetings. Please review and if you have any questions, please contact your company legal counsel. Members of the LF may contact Andrew Updegrove at the firm Gesmer Updegrove LLP, which provides legal counsel to the LF.

Key Updates

SIG Status

Network Architecture

  • Same as last week - R6 is in good shape, otherwise the session this week was spent planning the webinar

  • Traction in WG6 with NetoAI bringing in a model

  • There may be some advancement in WG7

  • Eddy and Capgemini are working on assurance use case

Automation

  • Good attendance at automation meeting

  • New proposal for repo syncing at repo level rather than porch level - you can set policies for syncing on a per-repo level, including “cron-style” times for syncing

  • go-git is problematic - may need to have two copies of the git repo on the porch ephemeral storage to allow for independent updates and consistent access patterns

  • API clean-up is ongoing to get to a hard revision of the API which will enable it to evolve in a stable fashion going forward

  • Minor issues related to replay strategies

  • Presentation 3 weeks ago (SIG Automation meeting October 8th) on the NF deployment model which people might find interesting - either in SIG architecture or SIG automation

Release

  • .

Security

  • .

Other Updates

  • @balaji varadaraju - there are no rights for anyone in the community to add people to the github organization. It was previously understood that this was restricted to the LFN staff, but it appears that this information is incorrect

  • We need a change-managed team definition for community members that have “edit” rights on the organization, so we will create a poll to vote on the list

    • We will create an email poll to create a “Nephio GitHub Organization Owners” team in github, and add:

      • TSC chair and vice-chair

      • SIG chair and vice-chairs

    • @Ciaran Johnston (Ericsson) will create a proposal to put to a vote

  • Nephio TSC election will need to run in the next month or so. @Casey Cain
