• Gergely is preparing a presentation on observability for the Nephio face-to-face meeting next week. Focusing on three open telemetry signals: logs, metrics, and traces

• Eddy shared a document on the observability layer for Nephio that outlines:

  • Problem statement regarding limited visibility across Kubernetes clusters

  • Approach using open telemetry embedded in Nephio architecture

  • Controller/operator framework with OTEL collectors deployment

• Need to solve cluster IP management for cross-cluster telemetry collection about how to handle reconciliation reporting across multiple flows

 Action items

• Gergely is working on traceability across Porch components. Need to define more specific user stories

• Konstantinos has created a CAP package for OTEL Collector
