Agenda

The project's Antitrust Policy, which you can find linked from the LF and project websites. The policy is important where multiple companies, including potential industry competitors, are participating in meetings. Please review and if you have any questions, please contact your company legal counsel. Members of the LF may contact Andrew Updegrove at the firm Gesmer Updegrove LLP, which provides legal counsel to the LF.

Key Updates

  • New participation in the Nephio community

  • Zulip Chat Platform

    • Linux Foundation have a dedicated server: https://linuxfoundation.zulipchat.com

    • Nephio community members are requested to join Zulip and follow these instructions to register for the Nephio-specific channels: https://linuxfoundation.zulipchat.com/help/introduction-to-topics

    • We will vote in 4 weeks (October 9th) on switching across from Slack to Zulip

      • @Casey Cain - will post a pinned message across the slack channels to raise awareness across the community

      • If we decide to migrate we can put a pinned message for all the channels to let people know we have moved

      • there will also be an email thread that goes out

      • We can use LFN voting platform to run the vote across the entire community, it will be opened now and closed on October 9th

        • “Which IM platform do you prefer for the Nephio community: Zulip or Slack”

  • Developer conference - 25-26 September

SIG Status

Network Architecture

  • R6 in a good shape. Good coverage of use cases / stories

  • We need to start looking beyond R6

  • Some stories need community engagement

  • Plans to talk to Sylva

Automation

  • Good participation in SIG Automation post-summer

  • Focus on topics for the F2F

  • Porch is pretty stable now with a lot of improvements, focus is now on some of the bigger ticket items

  • Need to look at the Nephio controllers which are not resourced

  • Looking at how to collaborate with and synergize with the kpt project

  • Housekeeping

    • We have 15 TSC members out of a maximum of 20, some of whom are not active

    • Need to broaden the participation and encourage more TSC members with more activity

    • TSC voting will be kicked off in mid-October, with conclusion in November, we should try to evangelize more
