• Revisit where we left off last for WG5

• Review the proposed telemetry and observability architecture proposal and discuss how we can incorporate them into

• Discuss which areas and user stories we should prioritize and how to integrate them into our work.

Minutes

Collectors

• Agree to leverage OTEL collectors as our starting point, since OTEL offers a vendor-agnostic implementation of how to receive, process and export telemetry data and removes the need to run, operate, and maintain multiple agents/collectors

• We also need to update the sandbox with collector and observability capabilities

• We are also open to other collectors, however, at this time OTEL seem to be the more dominant collector

Dashboards

• We need to create a dashboard to display a variety of observability data within the management Cluster in Nephio

• This would need to be an update of the WebUI, so the code written in backstage needs to be updated

• Suggest to use Perses over Grafana for dashboard development, as Perses is more open-source

User-stories

• The user stories we will be focusing on are the following:

1. Integrate observability and collector into the Sandbox environment

2. Create a dashboard for visualization of telemetry data
