Agenda

The project's Antitrust Policy, which you can find linked from the LF and project websites. The policy is important where multiple companies, including potential industry competitors, are participating in meetings. Please review and if you have any questions, please contact your company legal counsel. Members of the LF may contact Andrew Updegrove at the firm Gesmer Updegrove LLP, which provides legal counsel to the LF.

Key Updates

  • Vote on move of Porch to the kpt project, as presented at the last meeting

    • TSC formally approved the move. Liam will open a support ticket at support.linuxfoundation.org for the repo migration and notify @Casey Cain of the ticket number.

  • New meeting time (Poll result)

    • TSC confirmed that the meeting will update to Wednesday (every other week) 16:00 CEST / 14:00 UTC / 07:00 PDT

    • The next meeting will be May 6, 2026

  • @Casey Cain confirmed with everyone about the Zulip migration.

    • Reminder that the Nephio Slack will be shut down on Apr 30, 2026

  • There was a discussion about the Nephio Chairperson vote

    • Only 2 of 6 TSC members had voted so far (vote split between Ciaran and Timo)

    • Timo noted he and Ciaran discussed and are aligned: Ciaran for Chair, Timo for Vice Chair

    • It was discovered that some people cannot vote due to an issue with the Individual Dashboard on openprofile.dev (Balaji and Ciaran both unable to see the vote)

      • @Casey Cain has opened a ticket with LFX Support team

    • Girish Kumar was identified as missing from the TSC voter list due to an oversight. Casey corrected this and added Girish to the election and meeting minute template.

  • Upcoming LFN Board meeting on May 20, 2026

    • Casey has a deck prepared for Nephio; need to confirm who will present (Timo or Ciaran)

    • 9 projects presenting in one hour, so the presentation should be condensed with key talking points highlighted

  • New community member introduction: Alex (National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University), a bachelor's student researching AI/RAN and cloud native intent-based networking automation

SIG Status

Network Architecture

  • Work going on to restructure the Nephio software into "Platform" and into use cases. @Ciaran Johnston (Ericsson) is leading this effort. Discussions on how to structure it have kicked off.

Automation

  • (Dormant)

Security

  • .

Other Updates

  • Casey shared updates on broader LFN activity: new projects including OpenAN (AI cross-domain integration/telecom agent, proposal submitted to TAC), StratoWeave (O-RAN-SC migration to LFN), and Duranta (nearing exit from candidate status). Casey also recently took over ONAP program management.

  • Liam noted the SIG Automation meeting may need to move due to the new TSC time slot. He will consult the community before requesting a change.
